Revealed!! How Alexis Sanchez Ruined Antoine Griezmann's Man Utd Transfer Plans

Barcelona reportedly lead the race to sign Antoine Griezmann but only because Manchester United have snared Alexis Sanchez.



Griezmann is on course to be one of the summer’s hottest properties once again with his spell at Atletico Madrid set to finally come to an end.

And he’s available for £89m (€100m) dueto a release clause in his contract, a relatively modest figure for a player of his ability in today’s market.

The latest reports from Spain suggest Griezmann was going to Join United At the end of the season, just as had been expected to happen last year.

However, United’s decision to tie up a deal for Sanchez instead has pushed him towards his second choice of Barcelona.

According to transfer rumour specialists Don Balon, Sanchez’s move to Old Trafford 'upset' Griezmann’s plans.

The Frenchman wanted to link up with United in order to avoid leaving Atletico for a La Liga rival.

But the fact there’s no space for him in Manchester means he’ll have to head to Barcelona instead.

Barcelona are apparently ready to pay Griezmann as much as United were offering before they signed Sanchez.

Griezmann will now have to deal with the barbs of Atletico fans who are angry about him going to Barcelona though.

Don Balon claim it’s not just Griezmann’s plans that United left in tatters by Getting Sanchez on-board.

They reckon Atletico were planning to snap up Sanchez on a free transfer in the summer in order to replace Griezmann.
